Experience a paragliding flight and enjoy Cape Town from the top
If you’ve ever seen pictures of Cape Town taken from the top, you know how pretty the city is, and how incredible it looks seen from an aerial point of view. If you like adventure and if you aren´t afraid of hights, a paragliding flight is definitely a great way for you to enjoy the city, mixing the right dosys of adrenalin and amazing scenaries, including Table Mountain as a background.

You do a tandem flight, with a professional paraglider guiding it all the time. All you gotta do is to run a bit in the beginning until you start flying, and after that, just relax and enjoy the view. Even though you fligh quite high and you feel the adrenalin, it´s not a scary activity, you can literally chill while flying.
You can take your camera with you, but they also offer the photos service, in case you’d rather get the professional ones.
The duration of the flight depends on the the weather condition – it can last 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes… The whole flight is weather dependant – they get in touch with you before you do your flight to confirm if it´s going to happen.
Just before landing, they usually ask you if you´d like to do some acrobacies when going down – it´s totally up to you, but if you like adventure, I´d definitely recommend it! It was my favourite part of the flight!

WHERE DOES IT HAPPEN?
The tandem flights start mostly at the Signal Hill or at the Lions Head, which are two mountains in the middle of the ciy. You can get to Signal Hill by car, táxi or Uber.
You land at Seapoint, a nice area to go for a walk, for a run or to cycle – it´s also close to the Waterfront, one of the most touristy areas of Cape Town, and to the Green Point, where you can find the Stadium used during the South Africa’s World Cup.
But you don´t have to finish it at Seapoint, they can take you back up to the Signal Hill, if you want to.

There are many companies that offer the tandem flight in Cape Town. I chose Fly Cape Town and I really liked it. The guides are very experienced and friendly, they make you feel very safe during the flight. They are also very well reviewed in TripAdvisor.
